In May 2019 our Attorneys were invited as exhibitors representing Peru at the 1st International Congress of Medical Law, organized by the Dominican Medical Association and held in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

In this event, members of our Law Firm were in charge of 5 Conferences and the Presidency of an academic debate table during the closing of the event. It is important to highlight that Dr. Giancarlo Jiménez Bazán, Founding Partner of our institution, was distinguished with the honor of giving the Magisterial Conference that started the event.

Likewise, the founding partners of our Law Firm were named “Distinguished Guests” of the city of Santo Domingo, Capital of the Dominican Republic and were also invited to the Dominican Medical Association where they were received by the President of the referred Medical Association, Dr. Wilson Roa and the Director of the Medical Legal Plan, Dr. Severo Mercedes.

For the fifth consecutive time, the Founding Partners of our Law Firm were present as the only accredited exhibitors for Peru at the 25th World Congress of Medical Law, organized by the World Association for Medical Law (WAML) in the city of Tokyo, Japan. Demonstrating the high academic level and international recognition that the lawyers of Meza & Jimenez Abogados have in the specialty of Medical Law.

In this prestigious academic event, our partners lectured on: “Assisted Reproduction in Peru: Bioethical Approach” by Dr. Rosa Teresa Meza Vásquez and “Challenges of Medical Law in Peru and Latin America: A Glocal Perspective” by Dr. Giancarlo Jiménez Bazán.
