In September 2018 our Attorneys were once again present as the only speakers representing Peru at the 24th World Congress of Medical Law organized by the World Association for Medical Law in the city of Tel Aviv in Israel, where they lectured on: “Medical Arbitration in Peru: Proposal for changes”; and “Multiculturalism and Informed Consent in Peru: Bioethical Perspective”.

During the 24th World Congress of Medical Law, the Board of Governors of the World Association for Medical Law elected the Governor for Peru, Dra. Rosa Teresa Meza Vásquez, Senior Partner of our Law Firm, to assume the position of Vice President for the American Continent, of this important International Organization that groups all the leaders in Medical Law around the world, with which Peru occupies for the first time this important role, since a Vice President is elected for each of the 5 continents and Dr. Meza is representing all America (South, Central and North).

Also, lawyers and doctors from Meza & Jimenez Abogados participated as speakers at the XI Latin American Congress of Medical Law, held in the city of Asuncion in Paraguay, from October 25 to 27, 2018 by the Latin American Association of Medical Law. In that sense, for the fourth consecutive time, our Law Firm is the only one present as exhibitor from Peru in this international academic event.

In this event, members of our Law Firm were in charge of 6 Conferences and also the Presidency of an academic debate table during the closing of the event.
